Halloween 2026 is now in the bag for Disney Parks! We spent our first day back to work climbing out of a sugar coma and crunching the numbers to see how MouseWatcher users planned their trips to Disney World and Disneyland for this year’s spooky season.
Walt Disney World: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) 2026
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ran 38 nights in The Magic Kingdom in 2026, from August 7 through October 31. We looked at which 2026 MNSSHP dates had the most evening times requested for restaurants/experiences in the Magic Kingdom – here’s a handy visualization:

What MouseWatcher’s data shows
Most families targeted the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October. This likely corresponds to school schedules, as fall break is typically around this time.
October 13 was by far the most popular date. Since this was a weeknight in between the most popular weekend dates, it likely saw a lot of families who wanted to hit the party at the beginning or end of their trip. Some families also probably chose that date since weekdays are typically less crowded.
The week of Halloween had a surprisingly low number of alerts. Our guess is that the week of Halloween is most popular with locals and hardcore Disney guests – the visitors who typically don’t need as many alerts as those visiting from out-of-state or who visit every year.
Disneyland: Oogie Boogie Bash
Disney California Adventure at Disneyland saw a more evenly-distributed demand throughout late September and October. Here’s the breakdown of alerts created for evening times during the 2026 OBB dates:

What this means
Sundays and Thursdays were most popular for Disneyland travelers. Since there were no Friday/Saturday dates (with the exception of Halloween night), most families planning a trip to the Bash aimed for a Thursday or Sunday.
October 15 was the most-requested date (barely). This aligns with our Disney World findings – most families traveling to Disneyland for the Bash were likely doing so around their school fall break schedules.
October 31 is still the (pumpkin) king. Even though more alerts were created for a few earlier mid-October dates, Halloween night showed a significant demand spike. This would have been an extremely popular night for Disney fanatics, so the alert demand likely means even the most seasoned visitors needed a little help booking their dining and experience reservations.
Planning tips for Halloween 2027 at Disney World and Disneyland
If you’re planning an October 2027 trip to Disney World and want to avoid the crowds, aim for late October if possible. Demand falls off after school fall breaks are over – the sweet spot for lower attendance is likely any weeknight in the week leading up to Halloween.
If you’re planning to visit Disneyland for Halloween 2027, aim for a weeknight in late or early October to beat the crowds.
If you plan to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Oogie Boogie Bash on Halloween weekend next year (Oct 31, 2027 will fall on a Sunday), setup your MouseWatcher alerts as early as possible. If Disney follows their usual pattern, reservations for the Halloween dessert parties should open up in July 2027 for Walt Disney World and August 2027 for Disneyland.
